Dr Das did her primary medical qualification from India. She undertook specialist training in Psychiatry in United Kingdom. She further specialised in Older Adult Psychiatry and holds Certificate of Specialist Training. She is approved under Section 12(2) of Mental Health Act and is an Approved Clinician under the Mental Health Act (S145). Dr Das has experience of working in Specialist Memory service and Non-dementia services.
Dr Das has special interest in treating Memory problems (Adults of all ages), Alcohol and Substance Misuse in older adult and physical and mental health issues in older people with forensic history. She also assists and reports on medico-legal issues in old age – Consent and Capacity Assessments, Certificates of Lasting Power of Attorney, and Certificates for Court of Protection and Testamentary Capacity.
Dr Das is a firm believer in “Prevention of diseases and maintaining health” and integrates knowledge and skills of ‘Ayurveda Nutrition and lifestyle Practices’ in her day to day clinical practice. She regularly visits India to consolidate her knowledge in Ayurveda Medical Practice.
Dr Das, outside of work enjoys family life, keeping fit and dancing. She regularly participates in fundraising activities for charities both locally and abroad (India) in relation to mental health awareness, education and women empowerment.
